Beautiful place, very relaxed. Menu good but would have liked more choice as the sharing platers were not available on the day we went. The food that we did choose was delicious, excellent quality and perfectly cooked (every poached egg was done to perfection) 👍
We would go back again.
Belting Eggs Benedict - perfect eggs, mega-rich hollandaise, crispy onions and generous slabs of the tastiest ham hock. Also made room for excellent coffee and gluten-free brownie. Lovely vibe and outstanding service as well - friendly, efficient and the staff couldn't do enough to help us with our baby boy. Big thumbs up and definitely recommended!
Three tables that came in after we where seated, where served and had their drinks before we had even had our drinks order taken. However, the lady who did take our order, was absolutely lovely and a credit to the team that worked that day.
The ceaser salad was a pile of lettuce that was swimming in oil, with two small pieces of chicken, no cheese and a small amount of bacon and sauce. We paid £2/2.50 for a teaspoon size amount of "house slaw" and a side salad, that was again swimming in oil. The Ciabatta was chewy and dry, and had the thinnest layer of avocado on, and hardly any feta, this would have tasted so much better with more.
This was our second visit, and I feel like the prices don't match the quality of the food. The coffee wasn't hot, and we had to drink it straight away. We where also charged £2 for TAP water, which we only ordered because the bread was so dry and the salad was oily.
A member off staff spent most of her time complaining that she didn't want to be there, and that she couldn't be bothered and wanted her bed. Which was overheard by the 4 tables in front of her
Veryyy nice! Good service & friendly waitresses ❤️
Was told to take a seat as orders would be taken from the table. After that - several people came in- ordered coffee at the counter then took a seat and were served their coffee. We probably waited a good 20 minutes. It was a very quiet afternoon- few customers. We were served last. Might as well have been invisible. Poor waitress service .
Visited with a friend for lunch as they have a small vegan menu. Deux Amis is only small and you are only allowed 75 mins on your table, so if you want a long relaxed lunch with friends, be aware.
Very busy place with food made at a small kitchen in the corner of the restaurant, so the windows are steamed up and its quite humid and stuffy inside, so can't imagine what its like on a hot summers day.
I ordered butternut squash soup which was quite nice, piping hot and a good sized portion. Not sure I would rush back though.
We came here for some brunch on a rainy Sunday. We booked a table ahead of time, advised as it is busy.
We had some breakfast skillets then some coffee and cake. All were really well presented, ingredients top quality.
Next time we are in the area we will be coming back.
Absolutely stunning place to go for brunch. The French-themed dishes are great, especially the croque monsieur. Lovely place to stop if you're driving around the Ribble Valley!
